Adrienne Moore
Adrienne was diagnosed in October 2020 at the age of 42. She is the founder and co-leader of the MM Support Group in Bloomington, IL. After her back pain became debilitating she went to the ER, where they diagnosed her with a fractured thoracic 5 which ultimately lead to her Multiple-Myeloma diagnosis. Adrienne underwent her first autologous stem cell transplant, at Northwestern, in March 2021 and her second in June 2021. She has been in remission since February 2021. Her maintenance therapy consists of monthly Velcade and Xgeva. Due to the length of time between when she began showing early signs of MM and her official diagnosis, Adrienne is raising awareness of the importance of early testing and detection, to eliminate some of the irreversible damage that the disease can cause.
